Do you handle both body work and mechanical repair?
The shop covers two disciplines that are often separated. On the body side we handlecollision damage from a scuffed bumper through to structural and unibody work, along withrefinishing and color matching. On the mechanical side we cover brakes, suspension, enginediagnostics, transmission concerns, air conditioning, tires, alignment, and New York Statesafety and emissions inspection.
Keeping both under one roof matters more than it sounds. A collision frequently producesmechanical consequences, and a car that has taken a hard curb or pothole strike needs itsalignment and suspension assessed as well as its panels. Sending a vehicle between twobusinesses to resolve one incident wastes the owner's time and loses information betweenthem.
Do you repair taxis and other commercial vehicles?
A large share of the work is ordinary private repair for people who live and park in Queensand Manhattan. Alongside that we serve commercial and for hire vehicles, including taxi andlimousine work, where downtime is lost income and the maintenance schedule is driven by hoursworked rather than by the odometer.
How do you approach estimates and repairs?
Three things shape how we handle a job. We disassemble before committing to an estimatewhere the damage is more than cosmetic, because the visible portion of collision damage israrely the whole of it. We explain the repair rather than presenting a total, including whichparts are original and which are not. And we tell you when something does not need doing, whichis a slower way to run a shop and a better way to keep customers.
You are welcome to come in for an assessment without committing to work. Estimates arefree, and if the honest answer is that a repair is not worth it on your vehicle, we wouldrather say so.
